Description

Catholic Links

Our Church's website The website of our own church. It's been a year since the last update, but we live in hope.

Franciscans (ofm) Home Page

A lovely Web site with history, locations, prayers, news, and much more for anyone with an interest in the Franciscans but sometimes slow to load.

Catholic On Line Home page

All things Catholic with bundles of links. Plus free email - fancy yourname@catholic.org as your email address?

Westminster Cathedral, London, website

Saints and Angels

Part of the Catholic On Line website above. Has your child come home from school and asked you about Saints? Have you ever wondered who is the patron saint of ....? This link will tell all.

Fr. Pat Umberger's St Francis Page

Information about St Francis with links to other St Francis websites. Lots of information to hand. If you get the time, visit the rest of Fr. Pat's website which this page is part of.

The Holy See Official Web site

Cafod official Web site

RCnet A rich resource for the Roman Catholic church with many links
The Jesuit's Sacred Space A lovely site run by the Irish Jesuits. If you are ready to listen, these pages will speak to you. A multi-language site.

Music Links

Brentwood Cathedral Music Department Lots of information about forthcoming Church music events in and around Essex. Good links to many sites of interest including local parish churches.

Christian Copyright Licensing International (UK)
Did you know that any song younger than 70 years old comes under strict copyright laws (it used to be 50 years)? Check this link for lots of interesting information about the maze of regulations governing the public performance of the hymns you hear every week.
Christian Music Ministries

One of many Christian music sites on the net with links to similar sites.

Christian composer Mike Anderson's site For those who don't know the name (but you should!) this is the site of Mike Anderson, composer of the 'Clapping Gloria', so popular with our congregation at 10am mass. Site can be a bit a slow but should be no trouble for broadband. Lots of music in mp3 format. Site re-designed.

Stephen McManus Music  A music site that offers free sheet music of masses, Psalms, hymns etc. As Stephen himself says "All music downloaded from this site is FREE to use for non-commercial purposes and is dedicated to the Glory of God." Please note the music samples are in midi format and do not do justice to a proper rendition of a piece of music. Either mp3 or .rm formats would be better. Try the sheet music and perform it yourself to get a better idea.

Miscellaneous

All Saints' with St. Andrew's

"The church over the road on the green."

The Bible Gateway Search multiple versions of the Bible in nine different languages by keyword, location, or concept.
Early Christian Writings This is an enormously rich site filled with an extensive and well-researched content of the origins of Christianity. It has not been possible to view every single hyperlink on this site, it is so big. You need to be in an 'open-minded research-based frame-of-mind' to get the best from it. Please email me if you find anything that offends you.
Wesley Owen Music Books A nationally based Christian bookshop with a branch in South Woodford.
Google

An outstanding search engine. Very accurate and very fast. You can (and should) apply filters to make your searches child-safe.
